Carbon Death Cult is a climate evidence and media project tracking the political, corporate, and cultural systems that continue to normalise fossil-fuel dependence despite escalating climate risk.
Inquest Notes / Field Record
The name is intentional. The behaviour of political and corporate systems — sustained fossil-fuel investment, manufactured policy delay, systematic understatement of risk — is not irrational within its own logic. It is a cult of managed extraction, sustained by institutional inertia, short-term incentives, and deliberate communication strategies.
This project collects, contextualises, and publishes evidence from that record. It does not attempt to be comprehensive. It attempts to be accurate and clear.
Note on Method
Not a campaign. Not a clean explainer. An attempt to name the machine clearly enough that it can no longer pass as normal.
